THE RIGHT TO GROW FOOD

Enact a process for community groups to access unused public land to grow food.

Appoint a dedicated community food growing officer to support this right to grow.

COMMUNITY-OWNED ENERGY

Appoint a community energy champion to work with local residents and NGOs experienced in implementing community energy projects.

Accelerate the council’s commitment to installing solar panels on all viable council owned roofs, through active partnership with community energy cooperatives.

PUBLIC SERVICES & JOBS

No more austerity budgets, oppose cuts to frontline services and jobs.

Reverse privatisation of council services to bring services back under council control.

Create forums for residents and council workers and councillors to decide how Council money is spent based on community need.

A FREE PALESTINE

Divest the Waltham Forest Pension Fund from all companies involved in human rights abuses in Palestine and elsewhere.

Adopt a BDS policy at the Council to end all contracts and partnerships with complicit companies, including Barclays.
